James G. Fleshman II began his career in the mortgage industry in 1991, and founded Foundation Mortgage Corporation in 2001. James has helped thousands of clients make their dreams of becoming a homeowner a reality.
James was born in Charleston and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. He graduated from The Citadel in May of 1990.
James and his wife, Christy, live in Columbia on Lake Murray. They have two children – Jake is a senior at the Citadel and Clair is a cheerleader and junior at Wofford. They are active members of Three Rivers Baptist Church and members of the Lake Murray Association, and James serves as a board member for Daybreak Ministries.
James is a member of Central Carolina Realtors Association, the Rotary Club of Columbia, the Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia, Greater Columbia Sales and Marketing Counsel, Senior Care Professionals of the Midlands, Mortgage Professionals of South Carolina, and Mortgage Lenders Association of Greater Columbia.

Being in the mortgage business since 2003, Owen's experience and vast product knowledge helps him pair you with a loan that fits your life. His mortgage education includes attaining the Residential Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation in 2013; and after graduating from MBAs School of Mortgage Banking in 2011, he received his Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) designation. Owen's a native of Columbia and graduated from The College of Charleston, so he's incredibly well-versed in the needs of South Carolina homebuyers. Whether it's financing for the first time home buyer, buying a vacation home, or finding a loan program for the real estate investor—Owen will make it happen.
Owen proudly serves as the 2020 President of the Mortgage Banker Association of the Carolinas (MBAC). He has been involved with MBAC since 2010 and took his first seat on the MBAC Board of Directors in 2013.
He was named Mortgage Banker of the Year for 2009 & 2018 by the Sales & Marketing Council of the Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia, and is a multi-year recipient of the Guild Mortgage Circle of Honor award.
